Threeheartbabies: Journey through Infertility, Adoption, & Special Needs Parenting
My name is Becky and I welcome you to my blog. As an adoptive mother and parenting a child with special needs, I am writing this blog in hopes of encouraging others that have been Heartbroken with infertility. I want to help others find The Light at the End of the Tunnel by giving advice to those starting their journey into adoption.
Infertility & Adoption help:
Infertility is really hard at times. I felt very alone when we were trying to start a family. It seemed everyone but ME was getting pregnant. I soon realized how alone I felt in the world of infertility. It seems no one else has this issue until it happens to you. We found some friends that helped guide us through adoption, and I want to offer my help to others as well. This site is here to encourage others in similar situations. May you never feel alone through the process. Let me be your friend and guide to help you through.
Why we chose adoption:
We tried to have a family for many years without success. God had another plan for the way our family would come together. Adopting was always something we both were very open to. Adoption was just the next natural step to take to start our family.
If you have any questions about adoption, infertility, or parenting a child with special needs please feel free to ask! I will be honest and real with my feelings on the subject without sugar-coating anything. I will also be sharing the highs and lows that motherhood can bring. This blog is also a community offering love and support in raising a child with special needs.
Sharing my Creativity on Threeheartbabies:
I love being creative. It helps fill my bucket. I love photography and scrapbooking. Someday I would love to take a photography class and learn new skills. I have found writing this blog has also helped me to have a creative outlet. Crafting girly things or making other DIY’s around the house are also a hobby of mine. I will be sharing some of my favorite things, crafting unique treasures and adding some do-it-yourself projects to my blog as well.
More about me:
This is my first blog ever. I have been told I should write a book about our journeys. Through the years I have loved reading many blogs and thought this could be my way of getting our story out and helping others. I enjoy writing and find it very therapeutic.
I am a stay at home mother to three beautiful blessings that call me mommy. We pursued domestic adoption to complete our family. My sweet husband is my high school sweetheart who I feel blessed to have beside me through life. Max is my ever faithful companion and canine friend, who is always by my side.
My dream as a child was always to be a mother. Before I became a mother I worked in the medical field as a radiographer taking X-rays and an MRI technologist. I was the girl to say hold your breath, and hold your hand and talk you through a very claustrophobic procedure. After our first son was born I returned to work for two weeks and realized I wanted to stay at home with him. I have stayed contingent over the years. There are days I truly miss working full-time outside of the home.
I dislike mornings. Coffee, being outside, going to the beach, singing or listening to music make my heart happy.
I am a Christian woman who has struggled with fertility issues, adopted three wonderful children, and now I am navigating my way through life with a child with cerebral palsy. I find my strength and guidance through The Word and trusting in God to lead me through. Thanks for visiting my page, and I look forward to getting to know you. Stop in and say hello!!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
